Head for Business is suitable for pre-work and in-work students wishing to follow a tightly structured course that progresses at a measured pace and does not make assumptions about their business knowledge.
Head for Business aims to teach students the vocabulary needed across a broad range of business activities; to develop students' understanding of principles, processes and practice in the world of business and to develop students' professional communication skills, e.g. presenting information.
Head for Business contains a variety of stimulating materials in self-standing units based on key topics in the world of business. Each unit begins by introducing students to the core vocabulary relating to the theme of the unit. Information gap and discussion activities, role-plays, mini case studies and creative writing tasks provide students with the opportunity to use the language they have learned as well as testing their understanding of the areas of business covered in each unit. The Grammar Guide at the back of the Student's Book expands on the Language Study sections in each of the units.
